Ed Maste (emaste@mastodon.social)'s status on Monday, 26-Aug-2024 08:29:48 JST Ed Maste #Bell ran fibre down my street a month or two ago and I signed up for installation next week... but found out they don't offer #IPv6 and I had to cancel the planned install.
They tout their fibre service as "ready for the advancements of tomorrow" but offer only IPv4.
C'mon Bell, it's time to move out of the last millennium!

to detect bots with bad or spoofed user agents" but one of those "advanced procedures" results in returning a 403 Forbidden when the user agent has "amd64" in it (as it does by default on FreeBSD). -

Ed Maste (emaste@mastodon.social)'s status on Saturday, 14-Oct-2023 04:36:26 JST Ed Maste #FreeBSD 14.0 is coming up soon!
beta (and soon release candidate) images are available: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-current/2023-October/004814.html
Draft release notes are here: https://www.freebsd.org/releases/14.0R/relnotes/
Is anything missing from the release notes? Anything in particular we should highlight? I'm particularly interested in user-facing changes like having /bin/sh as the default root shell (and the usability improvements in /bin/sh).
