Yes - there are way more politics here then technical difficulties.

Linux is 2nd class citizen in ZFS world. No ZFS Boot Environments - no GRUB for modern ZFS pools - no distro with installer support for ZFS on root and BE setup.
Why then #FreeBSD would downgrade to Linux level on ANY level?
Its insane for me.

This is how spirit of Open Source dies ... or it died long time ago and we just did not noticed?
For those who do not remember - X11/Xorg is under MIT license - it more or less have the same freedom as BSD license.
You can fork it anytime You want.
Sad to watch this happen ...

I think its a good time for BSDs to join together and do together what OpenBSD already started with Xenocara.
Fork Xorg - take what has been added to Xenocara.
Build common source and add separate needed 'glue' for each BSD.
Keep/maintain/evolve X11 out of this madness.

Seems that most important part of Minecraft server article was first sentence about FreeBSD Jails security.
After lots of questions on Hacker News/Lobsters I decided to add 'UPDATE 1' about it.

New tariffs soon to be announced on European based #Linux systems.
America will focus on US/California based #FreeBSD now.
American #RedHat company would switch to #FreeBSD and rebranding should not be a major issue as both #FreeBSD and #RedHat logos are red.

Its AGAIN the problem that FreeBSD project does not want to solve - for the short 3 months period (when 14.1 is still in support) the packages for 14.2 - including kernel related packages such as drm-kmod - are built against 14.1 kernel sources ... which give result such as yours.
The solutions are:
- do not upgrade to 14.2 when 14.1 is in support + 1 week so new packages in 'latest' branch gets build
- rebuild 'drm-kmod' packages from Ports:
# make -C /usr/ports/graphics/drm-kmod build deinstall install clean- use GhostBSD as 'base' for desktop - I mean use GhostBSD repositories and kernel - they always build packages against the RIGHT sources.
I try to at least 'force' FreeBSD related people to switch 'latest' branch to always build against the latest FreeBSD - 14.2 now - and to keep 'quarterly' on older still supported for 3 months - 14.1 in that case ... but they would not listen to me.

Seems that you need a 'smartband' - not a 'smartwatch'.
I have used one once back in time, Xiaomi Mi Band 3 (now its 5 or 6 available probably) to track sports activities and sleep.
The good thing is that battery last for weeks, not hours :)

Do you not understand the difference between GPL and BSD license?
In GPL - when You redistribute - You are ALWAYS FORCED to share the changes.
In BSD - You do whatever the fuck you like - real freedom - You do not have to share anything.
BSD gives MORE freedom then GPL.

Yes - Linux kernel has all its 'licensing' problems because of GPL enforcement - nothing else.

So WHY the BSD licensed FreeBSD does not have ANY problems with including CDDL code?
Linux is the GPL bullshit problem.

This is what BSD code is for.
Real FREEDOM.
You will never understand that concept.
