"Architecture is a hypothesis about the future that holds that subsequent change will be confined to that part of the design space encompassed by that architecture. "
We called tapping our network to find things out “lazy web”… but… the networking we do where we weave humans and their ideas together, is important work. It’s not just about “plagiarizing” but about those networks. I’ve joked about the “social lives of ideas” and “our thought children leave home and lead lives of their own”... But networking humans is important too. And Ai-gen washes us out.
“Google’s AI will read and analyze your private messages, going back forever” .. “analyze your message history with different contacts to understand your relationship dynamics”

Google. wtf
This ai race in big tech is so … desperate… and reckless … and [redacted]
Joking … because… the whole thing has so many different kinds of scary… climate change acceleration included, but also… (they are so not great at boundaries…)
So much on the line. Elections are not just about voting (as important as that is, of course), but work! And the work gets funded by dangerous interests, without a lot of grassroots involvement.
Find an interesting thread in the tangle of the situation and pull on it. If you notice something curious or concerning, ask "why?" (looking for direct causes), and again "why?" as exhaustively as a curious two year old. And you may find yourself... tracing out paths in a causal interaction network. Or follow "what does this depend on (or need)?" and "what does that depend on (or need)?" paths.
“But the brain does much more than just recollect it inter-compares, it synthesizes, it analyzes, it generates abstractions. The simplest thought like the concept of the number one has an elaborate logical underpinning. The brain has its own language for testing the structure and consistency of the world.” — Carl Sagan
Just do something. When a design problem is so overwhelming as to be nearly paralyzing, don’t wait for clarity to arrive before beginning to draw. Drawing is not simply a way of depicting a design solution; it is a way of learning about the problem you are trying to solve.” — Matthew Frederick
