The US will never have universal health care. The ACA was a huge giveaway to insurance companies, and even THAT sparked a Red Scare for being too socialist.

The American people would never tolerate a genuinely socialist-type system.

@itsmeholland @paninid @Adam_Cadmon1 It’s hard to prove a counterfactual, but I think the Red Scare would have happened anyway. Fear of poor people getting a little better than they deserve is deep in our cultural DNA and well predates Obama.

They've really lost the plot this time. In academia, the Israeli lobby is aggressively badgering professional organizations to make specific public statements, and they don't seem to notice that people are getting tired of their sense of entitlement.
