@mekkaokereke Normalizing that you can reject a partner romantically for their politics is good whether it moves the needle or not. Some people are raised to be deferential or polite in wildly inappropriate situations.

@mattly You’re missing a fourth item about adversarial state influence. This is possibly a bigger deal than all the data (though agree data ex filtration is a mess too)

People organizing political sentiment/protests on an app controlled by a government that desires political chaos in the US is a dangerous mix.

@mattly Honestly easier to get two tablets that lock to one app each. Locking down iOS/Android devices to two apps is hard. I did it once to make a “Lego Apps Only" iPad and it required MDM.

@mattly Oh when you explain it this way it makes sense to me why the 2k are wages and I assume the 1.4k are gains.

If you give them 8k and they give you 10k (in kind) that sounds taxable as wages.

@mattly it’s almost a loss if the company was trying to give you a 20% discount in lieu of wages, but you only realized 14% of that.
