Darryl George, a Black student in Texas, has been told he will be removed from his high school and sent to a disciplinary alternative education program after a month of suspension because he has dreadlocks. His family have filed a formal complaint and a federal civil rights lawsuit, saying Texas's governor and attorney general failed to enforce the CROWN Act, which outlaws discrimination based on hairstyles.
