@thomasfuchs yep, unsurprising i'm still wrong about that, it is *remarkably difficult* to find information on what those timelines even are.

@thomasfuchs it took a *long* time to understand what they were, and even today I'm not sure if my understanding of 'local: friends of friends, federated: friends of friends of friends' is correct. I thought 'federated' was 'main feed with everything in it' for a long time but apparently that isn't even an option
