I would encourage Filipinos worldwide not to gate keep & judge the accents of Perleh, Princess & Trinity on The Pitt. I've known immigrants who lost their ability to speak in <2 years years, others who still have an accent after 20 years, & others who an seamlessly switch between English & their Filipino language(s) in the middle of a sentence even after 20 years. Fluency is prismatic not a binary switch :-) Of course it's not just Filipinos! It happens to German, French speaking immigrants, etc
