It does say a lot about Tim Cook that he is prepared to stand up to the EU on important human rights issues like a monopoly on App Store tax, while displaying impressive moral flexibility when it comes to standing shoulder to shoulder with authoritarians bent on destroying the western way of life.
@sinbad Describes my own experience very well. I could just about imagine the theoretical possibility of one of those events happening because no one was taking it seriously enough.. but having both occur so close together.. well it shattered my belief in humanity.
At least over time there appears to be a change of opinion on Brexit.. but a Trump victory is still a 50/50 almost a decade latter.
When I voiced the opinion that the M3 Max looked like it might not be designed to enable an easy doubling into an M3 Ultra, the idea was quickly dismissed.. not sure what happened in the meantime, but a purpose built M3 Ultra.. and perhaps M3 Extreme.. would make me very happy.. even though I shudder to think how much Apple would charge for the Extreme. https://mastodon.social/@macrumors/112173721595943325
In reality, FCP for iPad is just a way of keeping the idea of an iPad as a Pro creator device alive for a while longer.
In my opinion, Apple would do better to more clearly delineate its product lines: iPad for people who need basic to medium functionality without the problems inherent with a desktop operating system, the Mac for advanced needs but with more of a learning curve.
Currently the Mac is too dumbed down and the iPad is becoming too complicated for casual users.
