   When I voiced the opinion that the M3 Max looked like it might not be designed to enable an easy doubling into an M3 Ultra, the idea was quickly dismissed.. not sure what happened in the meantime, but a purpose built M3 Ultra.. and perhaps M3 Extreme.. would make me very happy.. even though I shudder to think how much Apple would charge for the Extreme. https://mastodon.social/@macrumors/112173721595943325

     Ah, I’m basing my impressions of a MBP — and I don’t have the M1 Ultra to compare to.

     @inthehands it’s indistinguishable from the M1 Ultra in my Mac Studio.. and that is just wrong 😀.

     I hope they used the opportunity to take advantage of the power and cooling envelope of a desktop machine.
