   There’s “avoiding non-information-bearing visual noise” and there’s “affordances should be apparent” and somehow our industry has treated these two as a pendulum to swing instead of a needle to be threaded

     All the noises about the new professional iPadOS made me think of that.. as long as Apple sticks with the idea that no chrome must be visible on the screen there’s not much chance of making a professional level OS.

     Hiding everything looks clean but hides what you can do. Professionals kinda want to do stuff more than look at it.
