Started #MetaphorReFantazio this week and I played a few hours so far. This is somehow my first ever Atlus RPG. I don't think I'm fully aware yet of just what I've gotten myself into.

Pulled a holographic Mewtwo EX card in #PokemonTCGPocket and that kinda seems like a big deal but I dunno.

@cjohnson the graphics were pretty incredible back then. It really felt like a leap in games in terms of what they were capable of.

The original #DonkeyKongCountry released 30 years ago today on the #SNES in North America. Love the franchise. I played this and the second game a ton in the 90s. They’re still some of my all-time favorite games. Back then DKC’s graphics, gameplay and music were some of the best. The games are still a lot of fun.

I picked up Tekken 6, Star Ocean: The Second Story R and Armored Core 6 on these Black Friday sales. There actually turned out to be a lot of good games on sale. I also finally caved and got an extra 2TB of internal storage for my #PS5 since I can only keep like four games installed on the thing now. #gaming #videogames

Finished #SuperMarioRPG Remake on the #NintendoSwitch. It’s also the first time I ever played the game. I liked it a lot but the game does feel dated in some ways. The characters and story are charming though. It’s cool how they upgraded everything from the 96 original. It would be great to see more SNES games get the same treatment.

Randomly started listening to the first few Ozzy records again and that ending guitar solo from Randy Rhoads on Mr. Crowley is still incredible. I kinda forgot just how good that song was.

The Indie Game Awards has a great list of games and developers across all the nominations. I'm really looking forward to the show next month!

#TheGameAwards nominations this year are mostly lame, much like the actual show will be. Anyway, Crypt Custodian is my pick for indie of the year. Everyone should play it. I loved the game and it deserves more recognition. #gaming #videogames

Got #TombRaider I–III Remastered for $20 from these Black Friday sales. Seemed like a pretty good deal for a physical copy. Haven't played the original games since the 90s so it'll be interesting to see how they play now.

#SuperMarioRPG update: Finally got past the Axem Rangers boss fight after grinding up a few levels and getting Mario's ultimate weapon/armor. I had the game's level cap wrong so I was actually underleveled for the fight. They barely did damage to me and I smoked them pretty quick. #NintendoSwitch

Trying to finish up #SuperMarioRPG Remake on the #NintendoSwitch. Game has been super easy and I'm almost at max level too. Near the end of the game (I think), I get to this Axem Rangers boss fight against five enemies and it's like I'm suddenly playing on ultra insane hard mode. Stuck in a loop of barely giving damage then reviving/healing until game over. Total whiplash with the difficulty spike.

The #PaulTyson fight was so bad. Props to Tyson for going the full eight rounds at 58 years old though. Jake is total trash in and outside the ring. I don’t see how the guy has any appeal whatsoever. I knew it was gonna be lame when he came out lip syncing to Phil Collins while wearing million dollar shorts.

Netflix completely crashed out and won’t play the fights tonight. Been trying for the past hour and it doesn’t work. I’m giving up and will catch it on replay. I do wanna see Mike Tyson destroy that dork, even if the whole thing is a work.

Really tempted to pick up #DragonQuest III HD-2D Remake that came out this week. It looks awesome and the reviews are great but I already have a few RPGs in my queue to play next. I never played the original game or much of the series either so it would be all new for me. Still pretty tempted though.

@Athavariel Well, yeah. It's only more than a piece of hardware now because they killed their own hardware business. No one is buying their consoles anymore so they have to put their games and services on everything else.
