   The new "This is an #Xbox" marketing campaign just shows how totally dead the Xbox home console is with no chance of recovery. The brand is damaged goods and this new marketing just waters it down even more. Not sure how that messaging helps sell the new models of Series X|S consoles that just released.

     @gary_bbgames I've been playing since the original Xbox. 360 was the peak. They never were the same since then. It's pretty obvious they're going fully software/3rd party in the near future. They can't compete on hardware because of the last decade-plus of bad leadership/lack of games. This gen has been a disaster for them too. I have a Series X but don't want to invest anymore in the ecosystem. Have fun with the PS5 Pro! I bet the games will look great.

     @timbowman I’ve been on Xbox since the 360. I love mine. I have 2 Series X and 2 Series S right now. I’ve just bought a PS5 Pro, as it’s going to be the best place to play Xbox games whenever they get round to putting out a good one, and I get the PS exclusives. They’re just bringing about their move to software only faster and faster, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing any more. They’re can’t compete with hardware, but they can make a killing selling their games.

     @Athavariel Well, yeah. It's only more than a piece of hardware now because they killed their own hardware business. No one is buying their consoles anymore so they have to put their games and services on everything else.

     @timbowman wrong again. Hardware is justa access point for the gamepass.Only selling hardware makes no money.
