@mods I think perfect moderation is this. I love seeing what's effectively a "listen, learn, adapt" loop. I hope you all are proud of this work. I know it's not easy in general, and even harder to be vulnerable via transparency, but I think it's appreciated by most people on the fediverse.

It didn't come off as constructive the way a "the protocol could be improved in the following ways" post would have.
I don't know enough to say one way or the other about Gemini, but I like the fact someone is trying to de-bloat the web and remove surveillance tools. I wish more folks working on the Internet would think less about corporate needs and more about individuals' needs.

Jen Zarzycka (kf6nux@tech.lgbt)'s status on Wednesday, 22-Mar-2023 09:30:35 JST Jen Zarzycka I saw someone looking for a conference in VR and mentioned all the VR conferences are in-person. That reminded me of how CPAC talks about right-to-carry stuff, but bans guns at the door to their conference.
If VR folks aren't doing their conferences in VR, how seriously can we really take their VR enthusiasm?
