@gamingonlinux I played it a lot with the demo and early access. It's the first game I felt I needed to use the Steam overlay to superimpose a clock to make sure I didn't play for too long. It was that addictive.
@joeress I think the main criticism was that showing the left/right bias of a source is not particularly useful in itself and their fact-checking rating is behind a paywall.
Personally I didn't trust it because of the sheer amount of sponsoring of youtubers. Too many times I have seen a flawed product get popular by throwing money at them. Raycon, BetterHelp, Established Titles etc.
@gamingonlinux We had the Gabe-gear, now we have the Gabe-cube ;)
If I hadn't just got a new SFF pc I'd be super interested. I'm hoping the Frame will be cheap enough to justify as I recently got properly into VR via the Steam link app on the quest 3s and the Frame solves every issue I have.
At the very least I'll get the controller, deck with the middle removed, exactly what I thought they would do.
@gamingonlinux I've had a little play and it's very promising.
Worth pointing out that Elite Force didn't have the standard Voyager theme, it had something similar but still used the TV's title sequence.
As for the voiceover, I'm sure they plan to have them but the script will have to be locked in to get everything recorded in one go. It does suggest that they plan to have the original cast rather than soundalikes that they'll be able to have multiple sessions with.
@gamingonlinux Been replaying RONIN after randomly flicking through our family Steam library for something for my son to play.
Obviously inspired by Gunpoint but the turn-based combat is it's own thing and can be very satisfying when you leap around the room, knocking guards into each other, slicing them up as they reload and grappling out the way as a techno-samurai flies at you and out the window to their death.
@gamingonlinux My instinct is that most MPs just aren't going to understand any of this. However there has been a lot of younger blood since the last election and there are quite a few MPs who either identify as gamers or have enough knowledge of the industry to guide the debate.
@gamingonlinux tempted to pick this up. I didn't play the original games but clearly remember the scathing review of Sims 2: H&M Fashion Stuff in PC Zone.
