I came into Terry Pratchett's works through two ways... Firstly, a young human halfway up a mountain in Italy, nothing really to do. I found Equal Rites on the shelves. It looked interesting.
And so I read, enjoyed it & it percolated in my brain.
Fast forward a few years & I ended up drawn into the orbit of alt.fan.pratchett through friends and fully entered a world of joy, humour & wisdom (and many good, true, supportive & affirming friends).
I will never forget him or his words.

It's weird to come off a parental call feeling somewhat positive although you can tell I'm a wee bit miffed...

@goatsarah to be fair CX left me on 2mg Progynova a day. They agreed to up it when Barrett declared me "undercooked". My GP refused. Every so often, I've pushed but don't get anywhere.
Once the new job is sorted, I'll look into working a private dose on top of prescribed

Ok FediTravellers... What's your favourite train and why?

For me, it's the BR Class 43 HST.

I grew up with this thing, every Friday night, waiting on a platform for dad to come home from London.

The scream of the Valenta engine, the sleek design and me, having this intrinsic knowledge that trains are awesome...

We got to know the station staff and drivers, so getting a cab tour was such a cool thing 😊
