I’m feeling like migrating to a new instance. I need to get away from some pretty toxic political content some have been pushing really hard lately. I’m a bit more interested in creative content and interaction.
I follow hashtags but my feed is just flooded with stuff I need away from.
What is not only a “good” instance but “great” instance for authors and writers? Fair warning, I may just decide that self hosting is the way to go.

#PennedPossibilities 150 — What inspired the idea for your WIP?

Too much to fit in a nice little post on Mastodon. It’s a bit of many different science fiction and fantasy universes that I am familiar with. My own personal experiences in the various professions I’ve worked in. Politics, both current and historical, are very influential. Cyberpunk, noir, bold faced patriotism, and equal rights. Way too much to do it justice.

@shades It’s concerning that some states don’t have anything to report. Can’t say that I am surprised about the ones that do lack data though.

@TonyStark I was strangely under the impression we were already doing this as systems were updated, replaced, etc. It seems that some took much greater initiative than others though.

I have not once been called antisemitic for criticizing specific actions taken by the Israeli government or even pointing out settlers being problematic. It’s important to point out the actions of specific people or in this case political groups.
I have been nearly accused of endorsing genocide when pointing out Hamas went to war with Israel. They have committed atrocities for decades. They have fought against the Palestinians and peace.
Yet, I keep hearing about others’ accusations.

@GW The best thing that Israel should have done was to re-establish security only within their borders and call in the International community to help with the hostage situation.
