@clacke Huh, okay maybe I should go see this at the cinema then rather than yarr it later. I did not expect that.

@clacke and, so far, he's down a defense minister and what seems like most, and growing, parts of the well trained parts of the military.

That's not a solid foundation for a society considering the foundation of it all is the monopoly of violence.

@clacke let us know if it's not quite so predictable? It sounds a bit interesting but I'd prefer to have you first quality check it ;)

@clacke English is basically "take old norse, let simmer for a century or two. Throw in a big wallop of French, let simmer for half a millenium", the greek roots seem long gone ;)

    • asm & tamsyn & forth, oh my!

@clacke @millihertz Last I looked into and experimented with this, hm around 2020? It was that if your JVM starts using offloading pages to disk cache the whole machine is toast and you might as well restart because it's quicker than waiting for it to recover.

@clacke I remember reading that one years ago, might have been a source of my current opinion :)

@clacke It's almost as if the problem isn't what they think.

My view is that computers do what we say. Exactly. And only one thing at a time.

Translating between natural language and that kind of domain is a job, regardless of language or tooling.
