I really have no idea what Trump’s motive is regarding TikTok, not sure he is either but the real reason #TikTok was banned was the inability of US/Israel to control the narrative on the platform.
What controls or censorship US will have on TikTok in the future is purely speculative at this point.

I recently met some Canadians visiting #Aotearoa #NewZealand from Ontario. When they first told me they were from #Canada I joked about them being from the 51st State of America. Instead of laughing they just looked sad so I quickly qualified my comment by adding “according to that idiot of a man Donald #Trump” which didn’t seem to make them feel any better.

I have incredible sympathy for US citizens generally only having a choice between 2 parties when it comes to voting. For a country that’s so diverse it seems a wildly unfair and undemocratic political system. The rise of independents in last week’s #UK elections has led to more talk about electoral reform. IMO, US seriously needs to have this conversation.

#NewZealand is set to join a US-led military exercise which will see the #NZDF train beside the #Israel Defence Force. Opposition parties say the NZDF's involvement with the exercise is proof the Government isn't taking the Israel-Gaza war seriously.
