     Do you like Elizabeth Warren? Cory Booker? Gavin Newsome? Great. They're Democrats. When we have Democrats in state and federal majorities, these leaders help make law and policy decisions.

     I have incredible sympathy for US citizens generally only having a choice between 2 parties when it comes to voting. For a country that’s so diverse it seems a wildly unfair and undemocratic political system. The rise of independents in last week’s #UK elections has led to more talk about electoral reform. IMO, US seriously needs to have this conversation.

     We have so many great Democrats in the House, in state government, in the Cabinet, in the Senate. And when we hold the White House and Congress and state houses, they can work together and their ideas matter more.

     We're not the party where everyone has to fall in line behind the strong man, and your value is measured by loyalty to the leader. That's the other party. Our party is the one with hundreds of good politicians and public servants united by ideas, not by a cult of personality.
