Two things about this situation that are very alarming is, anecdotally, the majority of voters who have discovered their enrolment details are no longer listed as registered on #NZPol electoral rolls or being transferred from the #Māori roll to the general roll are Māori voters.
NZ lawyer, Tania Waikato says the NZ Electoral Commission has advised her they would not knowingly change anyone’s details or voting roll preference, which suggests there may be a glitch in the system.
If it is simply a system glitch, which is more likely than deliberate fraud, the proposed undemocratic voter suppression policy being, imo, pushed through parliament by this coalition of corruption, means even if a technical error the proposed policy will not allow voters removed off roll or shifted to general roll from Māori roll to be able to make a special vote if discovered after early voting period starts 2 weeks prior to polling day.
Make no mistake this government is a corrupt pos that’s threatening NZ’s democracy.
