@hongminhee @evan yeah, mixed multi-lingual content is common in some countries (Malaysia, Singapore).

I guess the challenge is
1) how to store this kind of content without `span`?
2) how to design a UI to author this kind of content in a simple non-WYSIWYG-editor field

I've observed that design communities actually prefer closed silos or smaller niche groups, judging from back-then Dribbble, to Designer News, and now read.cv/post.cv. @_elena there’s not much cost. Hosting is free, only the domain needs money.

@stefan I don't see it as obnoxious tho'. As Mastodon is not the only fediverse server, this will happen one day, sooner or later. It's also no different than super-long posts from servers with increased character limits.

For Phanpy, I anticipated this, but polls UI is the only one I purposely left out as I need to observe if there's any such posts. One use-case I anticipated is more-than-4 media attachments (Mastodon sets max 4, but there could be > 4), which Phanpy already handles.

Random thought. Is the 🆓 emoji localized?

lol I was mass editing files with Copilot until exceeded API rate limit, it even auto log-out of VSCode 😂

Context: I was using it to "codemod" (better find/replace?) whole bunch of files.
