Agree re phone calls.
We could do much much much worse than Mark Kelly.

@jeridansky I went to a great Joe Jackson concert when he was touring this album. 👍
I've had a difficult morning, and I was looking for comfort. Aretha is a staple, and this version of a classic comfort song is different enough to be interesting and distracting.

The prompt is #Bee
"That kind of luxe just ain't for us
We crave a different kind of buzz
Let me be your ruler (ruler)
You can call me Queen Bee"

More interesting stuff about the "Resist and Unsubscribe" action that's happening this month. Some numbers Scott Galloway cites are quite surprising -- and motivating. That part is from the 2:00 to 8:00 min mark of the podcast.
The rest is interesting too. I might start listening regularly to this podcast. In this episode:
"Kara [Swisher] and Scott [Galloway] discuss AG Pam Bondi's disastrous testimony on the Epstein files and Big Tech's day in court as Meta and YouTube face trial for deliberately addicting young users. Then, the Nancy Guthrie disappearance case reveals that Google Nest stores “deleted" video, and an Anthropic researcher resigns, warning the “world is in peril.”..."
@jeridansky What are you feeding it?

Tell it, Dolly.
World On Fire / Dolly Parton

@jeridansky It's all cool and interesting ... I esp like the brick look at the bottom of the window, reflecting the brick porch.
@jeridansky That is so amazing! Wow.
I wonder who bought it ... maybe someone with a connection to your grandmother or to that children's home.
And where/why that seller acquired it, especially since they deal in collectible sports images, it seems.
The theme is #DentistsAndTeeth for #TuneTuesday
I don't even know what this song means, but I love this album so much. Whenever I hear the beginning of a song from it, I just ... have that thought/ feeling.
Your Gold Teeth / Steely Dan

@jeridansky I've known this song forever, but I don't think I've ever heard this. Love Nat King Cole.
@jeridansky Oh that's great. Thank you! I went to her Substack page and noticed she has over 2 million subscribers. That would be a lot for her to give up, although a fair number would prob follow her wherever she goes. In any case, it can't hurt to let her know one subscriber's viewpoint.
@jeridansky So shocking. I had heard the bare outline of what the Guardian reports, but did not realize the extent of it. Must cancel my subscription to Heather Cox Richardson's newsletter. I wonder if there's a way to communicate the reason why to her... (I'll look around, at her podcast page, etc.)
#ToysAndGames
#JukeboxFridayNight
This isn't really on theme because it's not about a toy kind of game. But I love this song, and it came almost immediately to mind. I'll try to think of something else.
Wicked Game / Chris Isaak

😮 Wow. Thanks. That solves a lifelong mystery.
3) For #TuneTuesday, the theme is #MyNameIs - songs with the name of a person
I wasn't going to keep posting, but... I love this song. The way it just floats along. But watch out, it is sticky.
(I've never understood it, though. "We never laughed so long..." ? )
So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright / Simon & Garfunkel

@jeridansky Such a great song. And you know what I've had in my head for a while? "So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright." "Architects may come and architects may go..." I wasn't going to make another post with it cause I could do this all day. But why not?
@jeridansky Thank you. I think we've dodged a bullet. There's ice on the trees, but I don't think there's going to be any more. I just saw something that made it sound like Nashville was hit really hard.
Uh oh. The weather guy just used the word "bad" maybe half a dozen times. He was walking around outside. "Bad news, y'all...it's not sleet anymore... it's straight up freezing rain... It's bad... It's heavy... Look at that, it's straight up freezing rain... It's gonna accumulate fast... This is bad..." etc.
I had been thinking maybe we lucked out because there's only been a little snow so far and occasionally I've heard the tapping of sleet against the window. But the weather guy seems alarmed by the shift to freezing rain.
@jeridansky Ha. When I was listening to Grace Slick singing, "You both stand there, your long hair flowing," I was imagining some hippie guys with long hair. But the line stood out a little because it was an ever so slightly unusual image. Now, knowing that David Crosby wrote it, it makes more sense.
