Check out the Martin Hench books (_Red_Team_Blues_ and _The_Bezzle_) by @pluralistic. The protagonist is a forensic accountant and there's a fair bit of fun infosec related content in them.

One of these days, I'll get myself an old adding machine with paper tape. I had one of those on my desk at my first job out of college where I was "the computer guy" at a little pension and benefits administration firm. I loved the satisfying noise of the tape printer.

At a former job, an employee had installed a porn "accountability" browser extension on their work machine. Helpdesk asked us in security whether that was ok. Of course it had access to all sites browsed, including internal sites. That was a big fat no.

Oof. Better than that. Hopefully, your dentist will have the same kit mine did when I got a crown six or so years ago.

He 3d scanned my tooth before and after grinding it down, then modeled the crown, and sent it to a little 5 axis cnc mill that cut it out of zirconium on the spot. Said chunk of zirconium was then fired in the cutest little desktop kiln and installed the same day.

Sucked getting a crown, but the cool tech made up for it a bit.
