@ryanhoulihan I articulated a very common human need from a trans-parent's point of view. I'm pretty sure I didn't offer a defense for anything they've done, and I'm genuinely sad/mad if they've been awful with you.

@ryanhoulihan I birthed my kiddo without one and I kinda feel like I got that wrong somehow. Your parents are human, and like all of us need at least a little reassurance that they did an adequate job (and I'm not sure why people are like this), particularly with the things they had no control over.
