@GreenSkyOverMe What kind of time tracking are you looking for? My iPhone 14 has built-in time tracking. I just swipe right on my first home screen and it’s there at the bottom to click on and expand, with a breakdown of how much time is spent on which apps.
@mcmullin@mattly From what I understand of tonal language, it's not about hitting a specific pitch, but more about being able to rise or lower in pitch relative to where you started your sentence. I could be wrong, tho.
@mcmullin@chris absolutely! What I don’t understand about tone deafness is…I feel like my sense of pitch has improved over time, especially working in a DAW where you can tune any instrument as needed. With “perfect” tunings of digital instruments to compare against, physical/analog instruments and vocals sound more out-of-tune to me now if they’re not also bang-on in tune. Surely tone deafness is something one could ameliorate over time as well?
Hey I just “updated” my website. I was using koji but it got bought out and rather than transfer to linktree my spouse coded a basic website for me. Can someone please check and make sure it all works? It’s pretty barebones at the moment, but hopefully functional.
It should be visible in both light and dark mode. Thank you! 🙏
Can anyone recommend some popular #ambient music with female vocals, that are mixed well? A friend wants me to collab on an ambient track where I’d sing/come up with the vocal melody & lyrics. The examples he provided are not mixed well, so I’m having trouble understanding what he wants (unless he wants to mix it like his examples, in which case I’ll turn it down).
@mattly Well, I'm technically on a generic, but yeah. If I time it right, I can start doing whatever I'm supposed to be doing before it fully kicks in and then I'm in the flow. I limit my usage (due to the shortage) so I still have plenty of time for my mind to wander before/after the effects take place. I had a sweat problem at first, but mostly it aggravates my Reynaud's and I get chilblains. 😫 Have you switched to something else that you feel works better for you?
The great thing about Adderall is that even when I don't get enough sleep, it still helps me to focus.
The problem is if I'm not careful, I end up focusing on the wrong thing. I just spent 20+ minutes watching a video on how to make this boss coffee table that I am never going to make. At least I learned about some cool furniture-making tools and got some neat ideas! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@BethanyBlack the most adorable gangster. His black fur is so shiny! And his white whiskers are so dapper! 😻 Does he have pink beans? Does he need some smooches?
As part of the disabled community, even tho my disability is not vision-related, when I see a prominent Fediverse poster with “Woke AF/ally” in their bio CONSISTENTLY posting images w/o AltText, and then STEADFASTLY REFUSING to edit their posts to include AltText even when gently reminded/provided AltText, all I can think is, that person is ableist; they are not my ally. It stings.
Y’all know most people aren’t diving into your replies on the chance someone else provided AltText, right?
The edit button is a privilege—there’s no shame in using it when someone reminds you to use AltText. Heck, I edit just about every other post due to misspelling/wonky grammar/formatting. Rather than get pissed that someone is trying to remind you to be inclusive, you can save face by saying “thank you for reminding me,” and then editing your post. Calling those of us who provide/remind you to use AltText “part of the Fediverse HOA” is some next-level hypocrisy designed to stifle actual allies.
