@admin @kino @Gargron You’re obviously right. Federated servers seeking value, forming a Tumblr/Mastodon Network, is an overwhelmingly good idea for cheap journalists. Furthermore, it’s good for the server operators. For maximum success, the servers had best reflect the core values of the marketplace for cheap creators.

Recent changes make it easier to customize quite a few things about an instance. It works after a backend AND frontend update!

The two steps for backend/frontend update don’t appear presented in any blog post (I know of). I find myself following ‘Dr. Frankenstein’ notes. Maybe I will post them this week. Just, always afraid it is misguidance more than a helpful guide ?♂️

I appreciate the feature in soapbox to move an account to a new server - but, isn’t there a benefit to being able to export follows, mutes, blocks as well - the way it’s handled in pleroma-fe. Example, what if a server completely goes offline unexpectedly. One could fall back on that rudimentary ‘backup’ plan and recover most of one’s former ‘account’. Maybe there is some way for an admin of a soapbox server to offer those ‘export’ links to users @alex ?
