最近 Cloudflare 的 human check

最近連一堆網站遇到 Cloudflare 的 human check 都過不去 (像是 Speedtest)，剛剛試著找問題發現是關掉 service worker 的狀態下無法過驗證。

我的情況是 Private Window 模式 (沒有 extension) 可以過驗證，但一般模式 (帶有一堆 extension) 無法，依照經驗這通常是某個 extension 干擾

It's been a silly point of pride for me that I basically never receive the common penis-pills or Ray-Ban sunglasses #spam #email to my primary address; that I've successfully curated a persona that spammers are more likely to try to sell me a forklift or 50,000 LED strips or 3000 remote-control toy cars, or get me to help them with their AMAZING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY.

IDK what I did in the last week to mess that that up. The only thing I want to triple in size is my workbench.

To be clear: DEIAtruth@opm.gov is where you definitely should NOT send invalid reports, #spam, #furry #porn, memes about President #ElonMusk, pictures of #Elon shirtless on his yacht, that photo of #Trump with his hair blowing off and his makeup showing, #feminist #propaganda, etc.

Why does reports of #spam on #mastodon get send to your own server, and optionally to the mods of the server of the spamming account?

Wouldn't it make more sense to make it a choice?

If there is spam from some random spammy server and defederation should be considered > send to own server mods.
If its a well known server > send only to mods of other server.

I am here to announce that I have decreased #spam on my web contact form from 1 message every 15 minutes (for months straight) to 0 messages in the last week by adding a "I am a spam bot" radio button.

I am not joking.

No I am not using something like ReCaptcha, I literally just added a radio button to the list.

A little after midnight on Christmas, I received an unsolicited "roast" for one of my open source libraries.

The roast was AI-generated.

Naturally, I decided to look into who's behind this spam campaign and expose them.

My wife teaches at a Hebrew school. They are the chillest employer in the world, totally amazing.
She has an email address in the school's #GoogleWorkspace. It's not published anywhere. I don't think she uses it to email school parents; I believe the only reason she has it is because there was a problem with the school's payroll system (QuickBooks, of course) which they attempted to solve at one point by giving her an address at the school to use as her login.

How is #Intuit so bad at everything except, seemingly, income-tax software?
They spammed me today at an email address which to my knowledge has never had an Intuit account associated with it. When I click the unsubscribe link it brings me to their login page. But I can't log in with that email address—no account!—so I can't unsubscribe.
This is both stupid and illegal; working unsubscribe links are a requirement of the CAN-SPAM act.
I sent them a #privacy complaint. We'll see what happens.

For the record: #Intuit replied to my #spam complaint and told me I could go to https://data-privacy.app.intuit.com/preferences to unsubscribe from their spam.
I've done that; we'll see if it works.
Needless to say, they completely ignored the portion of my complaint where I pointed out that the unsubscribe link in their spam didn't work and that that's a violation of federal law. 🤷
