If it's spammy and the admin of the other instance doesn't take action, at least yours might so that users on your instance won't have to deal with it anymore.

Why does reports of #spam on #mastodon get send to your own server, and optionally to the mods of the server of the spamming account?
Wouldn't it make more sense to make it a choice?
If there is spam from some random spammy server and defederation should be considered > send to own server mods.
If its a well known server > send only to mods of other server.
