The thread under this post is really worth a read. However it somehow turned into a discussion on the ability/willingness of the #ATProto dev community to survive without #Bluesky, rather than the more important point of #JackDorsey's destructive behaviour. Not only the man suffers from founderitis (see #Nostr) but is clearly a #capitalism fundamentalist who believes creating (& cashing on) as many competing protocols as possible is good, because MARKETS will choose the best for society 🤡 🤦🏽♂️

ActivityPub vs Nostr não é só sobre tecnologia.

A tecnologia é produto total da sociedade, pode ser subvertida em favor do bem comum.

Mas tecnologia não é neutra, carrega em si os valores, preconceitos e interesses dos seus criadores.

Uma é comunitária e emula relações sociais coletivas reais, com suas contradições, mas com proteção mútua.

Outra parece ter uma gênese/origem individualista e pautada pelo defesa da privacidade individual, a todo custo. A proteção/moderação recai ao indivíduo/cliente.

Hey @mkljczk@Fediverse.pl I just wanted to say thank you for pl.mkljczk.pl. My employer blocked libranet.de from my corporate devices, i believe due to the fact that when you sign up for a #Friendica account here they also give you access to their #Nexcloud nc.libranet.de so they be 'fraid I'm going to upload company secrets, but your tool allows me to access the 'verse on the devices I use most.

I also want to thank @alex-gleasonator.dev@mostr.pub who recommended it when I found fe.soapbox.pub wasn't working with #friendica. I think he's too busy in #nostr land to look into our little side of the #Fediverse these days
