Today, I published my first playbook on GitHub. Nothing super fancy, it's a simple script to update multiple servers, VMs, and LXCs running on Debian/Ubuntu. It was a valuable exercise to prepare for my next playbook, which is more ambitious (for me).

Como ya lo he dicho SolusOS es una distro GNU/Linux muy buena y que puede ser util a usuarios nuevos en este mundillo.

Nunca me ha dado problemas y siempre se encuentra muy actualizada.

Is this relatable? Use apt https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/ubuntu-lts-debian-linux-apt-command-examples/ instead of apt-get. Less typing. But, for scripting need stick with the apt-get ;)

Thursday Ansible update ran smoothly!
Every week, I run an Ansible playbook to update my multiple LXC containers, VMs, and hosts. The only exception is my Proxmox nodes, which I update manually.

Hi Ansible gurus,

What is the simplest way to run it automatically?
I want to avoid overkill solution for my small homelab. :-)

He optado por dejar más bien poca personalización porque siempre estoy indecisa y un aspecto simple e intuitivo me gusta mas que otra cosa. El fondo de escritorio es uno de los predeterminados de Debian porque básicamente es PRECIOSO y he intentado que se asemeje un poco a ubuntu porque también es bonito estéticamente

The distros I've used and/or a bit familiar of using over the past 3 years of being on Linux are #ubuntu, #archlinux, #debian, #fedora, #slackware, #nixos, #gentoo, #opensuse, #alpinelinux, #linuxmint, #manjaro, #endeavouros, #bazzite, and #nobaralinux.

Major changes in #Debian's apt 2.9.24:

“apt (2.9.24) unstable; urgency=medium

/etc/apt/trusted.gpg is no longer trusted. Setting the Dir::Etc::trusted option manually continues to work for some more time.

sources.list(5) entries without the Signed-By field are deprecated; migrate any legacy entries to the deb822 .sources format. See the apt-secure(8) manual page for best practices for signer configuration. This deprecates the /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d directory.”

Run "apt modernize-sources" to update your sources (seems to go smoothly on my machines :) )

Yes, #Debian gets frozen (or: is in freeze) when #testing becomes #stable. Still, when the process is done, calling it e.g. frozen instead of stable would (maybe!) reduce the confusion esp. of new users, who wrongly believe, stable Debian only has "stable" (= bug-free) software. The term has a double meaning, which is OK for those who know, but bad for newbies. Any other term than "stable" might be better 🙂

@debian has stopped using its Twitter account [1]. I like the comment from Andreas Tille [2]:
