Capitalism raised over billion of the world's poorest out of extreme poverty in the past century, while anti-capitalism starved and murdered over 100 million in the same period.
Capitalism makes the modest promise that people can achieve a better standard of living through hard work and good financial planning, and it's true that the government can still come in and mess up markets and screw people over.
But stack that against the utopian promises of anti-capitalism and the devastation and death at industrial-scale caused by it's inevitable failures and I don't think 'failed to deliver on it's promises' is a point capitalism looses compared to the alternatives 🤷♀️
