@sun @whiteline well, that's more about verifying account ownership so they don't deposit to the wrong one. It doesn't necessarily imply KYC.
KYC is bad, I think we both agree with that.
Do we want KYC-for-social-media? I don't know.
Perhaps what I think would be acceptable is "if you're a corporation running a for-profit social media platform, you must KYC so you can do age verification etc etc"
But if it's an open source / self-hosted social media or chat platform there should be no requirement for KYC
