@vriska @maija I understand the and respect perspective of people that see the entire thing as a very artificial simulation of emotional interaction for the exchange of money. there are also layers of sexism in it. I don't see it that way but I think it's a reasonable way to view it.

I suspect it comes down to individual interactions. Some people go in there for the novelty and its okay and some people go in there to get a little emotional fulfilllment and it's sad for them but it's not abusive. then there's probably people that go in there and intentionally or untintentionally try to make it go beyond a commercial relationship and put the girl in a position where she has to be creeped on to keep her job. I don't know.
