Part of that is what you say but it is also part of the pattern of every business eventually the administrative part of the company considers itself more important than solving the problem the org was meant to solve. all corporations problem number 1 is making more money but that is why you end up with like media companies doing stupid DEI shit that results in objectively worse-performing products but they absolutely refuse to quit hammering ahead.
