In my line of business, we use a *lot* of fancy acronyms like NOPAT, and buzz words, too. Every time I talk to non-"techy" clients, I often become aware of that.
So, even in business, I need to tone-down my "geek speak" and use plain English (German, Spanish, etc.) If I want to be understood.
I don't claim to be perfect, but I try to explain each acronym, if it is not standard-language found in e.g. Webster's Dictionary, if I am not writing...
