@Asymmetricblue @sindarina the difference for me is the power dynamics. The minorities you mention deserve the nuance in a world which has failed us. I won’t give that benefit of the doubt to the people who have power and harm others. Many liberal and progressive Christian leaders I know have no problem acknowledging that the modern ‘church’ today is oppressive and is different from the theology of liberation and justice that they believe in.
