    I would say its commons when its licensed GPLv3 for example.

    The extent to which it is an asset to the commons is another story and I think this is part of what Jennifer was alluding to wrt management and governance.

    Thanks Jennifer for writing that. Hopefully this message reaches you all well as I've not been online for a while and forgot the tricks to use gnusocial. Agree with what you wrote, just throwing money at a problem like this is a short term fix and in the long-term is likely very detrimental.

    I have more to write about this but too busy right now, I'll try to check back later.

    Noone is able to provide a sensible reason as to why almost every single bank, credit union and currency exchange in #Australia has US corporations decrypting its #TLS (aka HTTPS) traffic.

    Given Australia is one of the biggest targets for alleged #scams, and given the number of successful data breaches, I'm almost led to believe we are being deliberately kept in the dark.

    Encryption and #cybersecurity **are** hot enough topics.

    One would have to assume the corporate media are #gaslighting on purpose. Probably the more the corporate establishment can attack #dissidents and pesky #boomers, then turn around and blame it on #russia, #china or whatever their chosen "authoritarian-regime-of-the-day" is, the better and safer we all are?

    Pawpaw are really high in #vitaminC I like them a lot.

    I planted organic seeds years ago from a fruit I found tasted *amazing* and I've had success with them, but the #pawpaw is a tropical plant and I simply have no space in a good location to plant it.

    We took the kids to a tulip festival. Based on the lavender festival that sonTwo and my niece LG used to attend with my mom, I expected big fields of flowers and a small vendor area. It turned out to be the opposite, but we still had a good time.

    @clacke I had a college instructor who said if there's any chance of misinterpretation you should be as clear and specific as possible. So write "x/(yz)" or "(x/y)z" as appropriate, even though "/" already has implied grouping.

    @clacke Oh, yeah. We use it in the lower grades. And it is only later that they inform you why it looks that way, right around the time we switch to the front-slash.

    Also, I remember one instructor using the back-slash for truncated division (integer portion).
