It's not about making money off your art or training to be the next olympian but the personal fulfillment gained from working to attain such goals.

You say "learning art now won't do me any good whatsoever" because you think unless your art is "good" to charge 400$ on patroen then it has no value.

You say "anyone can workout" because you think unless they're signed up for the NBA then working out has no value.

This kind of pragmatic and utilitarian thinking is what is hurting you and runs counter to art as a whole.
