Karsten Johansson@amszmidt I don't share that experience. None of my Linux boxes have ever had emacs unless specifically installed after the fact.
It's probably true for Sun and SCO operating systems. Not on QNX. Not on fbsd. Not on NetBSD. Not even Xenix (remember that one?)
