@kerosene It just seems like a really weird thing.

I don't believe America has ever necessarily had (at least, in modern memory) all the things @Shadowman311 lists off. ---And, it's not due to the existence of Africans, but, rather, to a fully privatized for-profit healthcare system corrupt at every possible level and America's inability to functionally address this problem due to decades of dogmatic conditioning that not-allowing-companies-to-do-whatever-it-is-they-want-to-do is somehow un-American or "doesn't work".
