@nicholas @gettie @waifu There is user choice and there is inducement to install proprietary malware that takes the users freedom.

What would be true choice would be a selection between all of the free software, but currently hours and hours of developer time is being used to do work that goes against humanity by packaging proprietary malware, that could be spent packaging free software instead (or used to do something else that is not harmful).
