schamspeare@jacklaridian You didn't find it just a bit tedious in the moment, as a scene in a tv show? It could be that these things are written with the Star Wars fan base in mind, and maybe certain things that would strike me as dull register in a different way for people who are well-versed in the lore. And not that I don't respect the writers' desire to make a more serious Star Wars show, but yeah, "portentous" was the word that came to mind.
