> I'm now sorta stuck without stuff to do for 3 days. 🤷
Holy goddamn fuck. Three days to kill in LA, I have suggestions. (I'd help out myself if I was still there.) Maybe you have ideas what you'd like to do, let me know, this is some generic shit off the top of my head.
You see that map? Go down to Torrance, run around the weeb-friendly zones, buy video games from a place where the staff is all cosplayers, get some *real* ramen, get some curry rice, the good food is gonna be near the Japanese-heavy office buildings. Hit Little Tokyo, great shit there, too. Go get some really great Chinese food in the San Gabriel Valley or just wander around, like, drive up and down Valley Blvd or Garvey and it's like Blade Runner with no rain if you do it at night. If you spot a King Taco, go inside it, get a suadero burrito and three buche tacos (or carnitas tacos if buche scares you) with red sauce on the side. You see a place that has a hot pastrami, get a hot pastrami. If you don't have a car that you have to park somewhere, you could do worse than burgers and knocking back a few bloody marys at the Bank of Venice in Venice Beach; if you're closer to Pasadena, Congregation Ale House; if you're closer to Silverlake, Thirsty Crow has some nice whiskey and you can appreciate some irony of kids in designer clothes buying expensive whiskey while 80s punk rock comes out the speakers. Go buy a piece in Riverside and then take it to the ranges in Burbank or the LAX shooting range. If there's a girl with you, take her to the Redondo Beach Pier if you want a chill time or the Santa Monica Pier if you hate her and are willing to endure torment in order to watch her suffer. You can possibly hop a boat to Catalina but expect this to eat 24-36 hours. Greatest city for live music, you can even find a show worth seeing on a Monday night, and the weather's probably ideal right about now, won't be all sweaty inside even if it's a little venue.
