- Embed this noticeMulti-mode cable with LC connectors. The switches and NICs are all cheap these days. I'd recommend MikroTik switches and 10GTek network cards and transceivers (most of their cards use Intel chips).
I have some QNap switches, but they're very picky about which transceivers they'll work with. Would not recommend.
You can get standard wall outlet keystones for LC connectors. I've got three cables running everywhere: 10Gb fiber (primary), 1Gb Ethernet (backup), 1Gb Ethernet (CCTV for PoE cameras, not Internet routable).
