@BowsacNoodle @eris We have emotions written into us. Love, loss, hurt. From those we can form ideas about what is right and wrong. A religion, like Christianity, can codify laws/rules based on love, loss, hurt (the feelings written into us). I'm probably splitting hairs here but the idea that someone is born knowing that shitting on the street is wrong doesn't seem reasonable. Understanding the loss of personal and cultural dignity by shitting in the streets does make sense to me.
