@graf @Tony @jb Yeah, if there's a problem actor then blocking it makes sense. But tracking and selectively doing that takes more effort than Gab blanket blocking VPNs. There's other ways to handle it, like PoW, buying mitigation, etc.

However Torba saying "the subversion and third-world scammers end now" means I'm probably wrong and he's not even doing it for DDoS. It's for IP/account tracking and lazy moderation.
