Scott StarkeyI believe the OP, and I'm saddened about it. However, it is not my experience with being part of a small geographical instance, #HoosierSocial - an Indiana instance for Indiana folks.
Is our instance is extraordinary? We have a strong policy in place to reduce the bad stuff. Because we are regional, we also do things together that other social media doesn't, like fun events and meetups. It's special, and worth supporting.
Perhaps the future is fun local geographic servers?
