Most software licenses from MIT to GPL (and also proprietary ones) explicitly add clauses that say you get no warranty by default. You can get warranty if you pay extra, I believe "Red Hat Enterprise Linux" comes with such extra warranty, similar with proprietary shitware. It's just to close legal loopholes
