@grey @BanditHeeler Depends on the kid, but most have been trained to be helpless. Well-bred kids raise to the standards you set for them. Treating him like he’s capable of doing these things on his own, maybe showing him the entry level ins and outs of searching and finding things could quickly end in him surpassing you if he gels with the information. All depends on age, upbringing, and intelligence though.
I just find that many young boys really want to learn how to do technical stuff, they want to have skills, but the adults around them insist on leaving them in the dark because they’re “kids” instead of training them alongside them.
